Receive SMS from a website contact form
Standard operation for a website contact form is to receive an email when a new request is made from the form. For smaller businesses it is common for this email not to be seen or read for lengthy periods of time significantly slowing any response.
By setting up eConfirms Email to SMS the contact form notification is received on your mobile immediately allowing for a faster response. Faster response times increases the chance of the new lead being converted into a new client.
How to receive SMS from a website contact form:
Note: You will need administrative access to the website where the contact form is based .
- Go to the User Options page of your eConfirm account and enter an email security key
- Go to the contact form configuration page of your website and enter the email address
[MyMobileNumber]-[MySecurityCode]@sms.econfirm.com.au as the first email address to notify. - Make sure the contact form emails are sent as "Text Only" and not "HTML"
- Make sure the essential items are captured in the SMS such as the contacts name, phone number and nature of request
